Who is eligible to join Raytown-Lee's Summit Community Credit Union?
Anyone that works for , or is a student in the Raytown or Lee's Summit School District are eligible to join. You are also eligible to join if you work for the City of Raytown or Lee's Summit, USA 800, Two Rivers, Shamrock Cabinets, Stratford Corporation and any one who is a member of the Raytown or Lee's Summit PTA. People living and working in Raytown zip codes 64052, 64055, 64129, 64133, 64138 and Lee's Summit zip codes 64034, 64063, 64064, 64081, 64082 and 64086 are eligible to join. Membership is also open to those residents living and working in Jackson County.
What is a Credit Union?
A credit union is a not for profit financial cooperative, where the members are also the owners. The earnings, after expenses and reserves are deducted, are returned to the members in the form of high dividends on savings and investment accounts and low interest on loans. How much does it cost to join?
It does not cost a cent. We only require a minimum deposit of $1.00 to open and maintain a savings account. Once you've opened a savings, you can open a checking for free with no minimum balance required. By opening a savings account, you become eligible to receive high share earnings, low interest rates on loans, and great services including free visa debit, atm, online banking and a free visa charge card that has no membership fee and offers a great low interest rate!
How do I join?
If you meet the membership requirements listed in the first question of this page, all you need to do is come into any of our offices and apply for membership. It only takes a few minutes to open an account, so there's no need to make an appointment. We welcome you to check us out.
